Student Practicum Placements
We encourage the understanding of health care issues that impact our priority populations, which is gained through our student placement program. We hope that the Centre’s commitment and investment in the future of students will produce practitioners with a clear understanding of the issues that Women’s Health in Women’s Hands promotes, and will increase access to healthcare for women from our priority population.
Student placements must be initiated by academic institutions that have been approved by WHIWH and with whom we have a formal practicum coordinator at your academic institution. Due to the high volume of requests we receive for student placements and a limited number of WHIWH staff who are available to supervise students, we regret that we are unable to find placements for everyone who applies.

Medical Electives
