HIV/AIDS & SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES
If you are a woman living with HIV, sexually active/not sexually active or about to be, talk to us. Our HIV and Sexual Health program team provides culturally and linguistically appropriate services to help you live well and stay healthy.
Our services are confidential and FREE for all clients.We try to accommodate requests for TTC tokens, childcare and interpretation services based on client need.
HOW WE CAN HELP:
- Confidential and anonymous point-of-care HIV testing
- Specialized clinical care and treatments for
sexually transmitted infections (STIs) - HIV and STI prevention, healthy sexuality and
self care information and services - Referrals to specialized health programs and services
- Help to access social, legal/immigration,
settlement and housing services you may require - Individual and group counselling/therapy
including meditation, yoga, tai chi and other
arts-based therapies - Support around HIV-positive status disclosure
- Provision of nutrition and healthy eating information
- Access to resources on a range of health issues
- Skills development and health promotion for
women living with HIV
OUR TEAM ALSO:
- Organizes community forums on various health-related topics
- Hosts public education initiatives to increase awareness and reduce rates of HIV infection and related stigma
- Participates in local, national and international HIV/AIDS coalitions and initiatives
- Undertakes research to generate knowledge to inform our programs and services, and organizes meetings to translate knowledge into action
- Supports women’s participation in research
- Works collaboratively with all staff across the centre to give you access to all our serviceswomen living with HIV
